Abstract
Screen Industry in New Zealand: 2007 presents a statistical view of the screen industry. The screen industry covers all businesses involved in the screen production, postproduction, broadcasting, distribution, and exhibition sectors. The screen industry is associated with innovative and creative activities that help sustain economic growth. The industry is important to New Zealand because of its high growth potential and its ability to drive growth in other sectors such as tourism. Screen Industry in New Zealand: 2007 shows changes in the levels of activities carried out by screen industry businesses. It also shows screen production companies’ data broken down by regional activity, sources of funding, and expenditure. |

The information presented is based on data collected in August 2007 when the Screen Industry Survey 2006/2007 was conducted. The first results from the third annual Screen Industry Survey were published on our website in May 2008.
