Building Consents Issued: September 2009
Highlights
- Consents for 1,275 new dwellings were authorised, excluding apartments.
- Consents for 155 new apartment units were authorised.
- The seasonally adjusted number of new dwellings authorised, excluding apartments, rose 2.8 percent – the highest level since August 2008.
- The trend for the number of new dwellings authorised, excluding apartments, has increased 23 percent since March 2009.
- The value of residential building consents for September 2009 was $480 million.
- The value of non-residential building consents for September 2009 was $257 million.
