Part C gives background material that went into the preparation of Measuring New Zealand’s Progress Using a Sustainable Development Approach: 2008.
It elaborates on the definition and framework used and discusses other approaches to measuring sustainable development. It lists all the sustainable development principles (referred to as the defining principles), the indicators used in this report, and those used in Statistics NZ’s 2002 report, Monitoring Progress Towards a Sustainable New Zealand.
