In February 2010 compared with January 2010:
- Food prices fell 1.3 percent.
- Fruit and vegetable prices fell 3.5 percent.
- Meat, poultry, and fish prices fell 2.4 percent.
- Grocery food prices fell 0.8 percent.
- Non-alcoholic beverage prices fell 1.9 percent.
- Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices remained unchanged.
From February 2009 to February 2010:
- Food prices increased 0.7 percent, the lowest annual increase since a 0.4 percent increase for the year to April 2005.
