From small beginnings, the Auckland Secondary Schools Māori and Pacific Islands Cultural Festival has become the largest event of its kind in the world.
It will be a very special four days, with Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate returning as host school for the fifth time. The College had the pleasure of hosting the inaugural festival in 1976, so it is fitting that Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate return in 2010 to mark the 35th Anniversary of the ASB Polyfest. This year's festival has a strong focus of self-discovery, self-belief and self-empowerment.
